Turks Shipyard and Drydock offers boatyard services and facilities for DIY boatbuilding or boat repairs for houseboats or Dutch barges
Turks Shipyard is based in Chatham Historic Dockyard in Kent, and offers professional boat maintenance, repairs and boatyard storage. Before becoming a barge maintenance centre, this fully operational Thames shipyard was used to build Second World War submarines and, after the war, the facility spent many years without being used. Today, it is one of the best-known historic boatyards in the UK, and home to Turks expert boat and barge maintenance services.

Turks Shipyard Ltd in Chatham, originally a river family of boat builders and passenger boat operators, has turned this UK boatyard back into a fully operational dry dock and slipway. This historic UK shipyard on the Thames specialises in boat maintenance services for Dutch barges and riverboats.
The slipway and dry-docking facilities are available for passenger boats, as well as narrowboat maintenance and Dutch barge maintenance services. In addition, we offer boat maintenance for various other craft and our large Thames boatyard can accommodate new builds for luxury houseboats, narrowboats and Dutch barges. Contact Turks Shipyard.
